ACP HOUSTON

The Anglican Church of Pentecost (ACP) is an Anglican church held under the Houston Archdeaconry of CANA West Diocese of which Rt. Reverend Dr. Felix Orji is the Bishop. ACP started in 2015 under the Pastoral leadership of Late Rev. Canon James Ohaju, a spirited Man of God whose evangelical mission was to draw more souls, both young and old, to the knowing of Christ. He was known for his Scripture Union style of preaching and wanted to build a family-oriented church that welcomed people from all works of life. He hailed from Nigeria and migrated to the United States in 2010, started off as an associate pastor in other Anglican churches under the umbrella of CANA West, and eventually, was given rights to plant a new church.

In 2017, Reverend Ohaju succumbed to a devastating ill health and was called to the glory of Our Lord. Since then, the church had gone through a series of pastoral leadership under which Reverend Goodluck Onuekwusi and Reverend Canon Bismark Akpasue served as interims. Within a short a period, a permanent installment was made. He was one who also believed in the work of ACP, and thus, bestowed the mantle of leadership.

Reverend Folusho Kolawole is a strong pastoral leader with an unremitting vision to take ACP to the next level. He streams through a pragmatic approach and promotes evangelism to drawing souls to Christ. He is blessed with a wife, Ijeoma Joy Kolawale, who serves as the leader of the Women’s Ministry.
